Superintendent's Corner - Teacher Meetings

Rowan-Salisbury Superintendent Dr. Lynn Moody believes one important way to stay connected with classroom instruction is by hosting "Teacher Breakfast" meetings several times during the school year. One teacher from each of the district's 35 schools is selected by their principal to attend each breakfast.  During these informal and informational get togethers, teachers have the opprotunity to ask the superintendent questions that may be on their minds or the teachers may bring questions with them from other staff at their respective schools. Topics that are typically addressed are the budget, digital conversion, literacy, staff development, teaching children with disabilities, communication and teacher mandates from the state to name a few.

As teachers learn more from these breakfast meetings, they can now take this informaton back to their schools to share with other teachers and staff.
