South Rowan High School is located at 1655 Patterson Street, China Grove, North Carolina. We are nestled in the Central Piedmont Region of our State and Rowan County. This means we are fortunate to be close to the growing metropolis of Charlotte and also the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina. We are also conveniently located near the new North Carolina Research Campus. Many predict that this campus will rival Raleigh-Durham’s Research Triangle Park.
Our students affectionately call South Rowan High School “South.” We have a student population of approximately 1,250 kids. We have a dedicated staff at our school that believes that we are making a difference in the lives of our youth. We hold our students to high standards both academically and socially.
At South, we offer strong programs including JROTC, Health Academy, Vocational Ed, Visual and Performing Arts along with rigorous core content courses. We also have many organizations that support our students.
