New Reading Program
We are excited about our new reading program that takes the place of Accelerated Reader.
Each quarter students will read a number of books assigned by their classroom teacher. This varies among grade levels. We have some exciting things planned for the students at the end of each quarter.
Students who reach their reading goal will participate in a special event.
Our first quarter will center around Camping.
Other events will be Sports, Safari and Beach.
Start reading! Don't miss out on the fun.
School Newspaper
Brand new this year! We are starting a school newspaper:
"THE BUZZ"
The paper will be published each month. Any student in the school can submit their work to be chosen.
Battle of the Books
Are you a 3rd, 4th, or 5th grader that likes to read? Then the Battle of the Books is for you! You can stop by the library and pick up one of the books on the list below and start reading. A test will be given in December and team members will be chosen. This year's county-wide competition is set for March 12th, 2010
