Homework:  Homework for the week is given on Monday and is due on Friday.  I encourage students to work on the homework as we complete each lesson in class instead of incorrectly completing it all on Monday night or waiting until Thursday night to complete it all.  If not turned in on Friday, students may turn the homework in on the following Monday for a 20 point late deduction.


All assignments can be viewed on Edu2.0 and can be accessed by clicking the following link: kms.edu20.org, and logging in. Students/parents/guardians may log in anywhere that they have internet access - you may use your student's log in, or request a parent/guardian log in (you will need a valid email address).

Course Description:  In Grade 6, instructional time should focus on four critical areas: (1) connecting ratio and rate to whole number multiplication and division and using concepts of ratio and rate to solve problems; (2) completing understanding of division of fractions and extending the notion of number to the system of rational numbers, which includes negative numbers; (3) writing, interpreting, and using expressions and equations; and (4) developing understanding of statistical thinking.
