January and February in Language Arts will include Vocabulary study and a short story unit focusing on characterization and other elements of literature through reading"Harriet Tubman" and the "Diary of Anne Frank" for my First and Second period classes. Students will complete a short project in conjunction with their reading of Anne Frank. Fourth and Fifth period classes will begin by reading "Animal Farm" in class and continue this project to completion outside of class. They will also read the "Diary of Anne Frank".
All classes are receiving grammar instruction.
All classes book projects are due Jan. 8, 2013. They will present on January 8th and 9th.
Soon students will begin a research project in social studies with Mr. Lundgren on inventors. They will complete the project with me by writing a research paper in the computer lab.
