Agendas are an excellent line of communication between home and school.
Inside your child's agenda you will find homework assignments, daily conduct, and notes from me.
Agendas should be signed and returned daily.
- Reading Fluency -
Students: Read the passage for 1 minute and answer the questions on the back
Parents: Count the number of errors your child makes and record the words correct in 1 minute.
Please make sure to return the fluency sheet it to it's home in your child's agenda!
- Spelling -
Complete at least 3 items on the Spelling Tic-tac-toe sheet each week.
Activities aren't due until Friday but we would greatly appreciate it if you would keep the sheet on the Return to School side of the
HW folder so we can remind students to complete it by Friday. This will also help prevent it from getting lost!
Spelling City - practice spelling words
*RED Folders go home on Tuesdays and should be signed and returned the following day.
Please look at your child's work and talk to them about what they learned. Important papers from the office will also be sent home in this folder.
*Please remember to sign & return all tests that are sent home. They will always be found on the return to school side of your child's yellow folder.
Caleb - September 29th
How can you help your child at home?
*Talk to your child about what he/she is learning
in school each day.
*Read to and with your child daily!
Ask questions when you read.
Here are some great questions to ask:
- Who are the characters in the story?
- Where is the story taking place?
- What happened in the begining, middle and end of the story?
- What was your favorite part and why?
- What was the problem in the story and how was it solved?
- What does this story make you think of?
- Is this book like another book you've read?
**PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE addition & subtraction facts up to 20!
These facts are called "snap facts" in class because the students should be able to give the answer as fast as they can snap
their fingers. You can practice these in the car if you're short on time!
