************

The following pieces of information are very important.  I want this school year to run smoothly. Please read the procedure pages often so you and your child will be on track for our day to day schedule.

Please remember to sign the agenda each day.  Do not sign the agenda 5 times on Monday.  Also please sign your child's behavior card on Friday or over the weekend. Do not sign it on Monday.
It is your child's responsibility to study for any tests.  It is your child's responsibility to tell you they have tests and/or projects.

This year we will integrate English Language Arts through our Science and Social Studies curriculum.
Our math continues to integrate multiplication within all concept areas

We will learn all about Biographies, Poetry, and review the genres we have already covered.
We are covering Ecosystems and will soon learn alot about Health and Nutrition.

Be on the lookout for the Lighthouse Project, it is coming soon.

*******REMINDER*******
Please remember to sign your child's agenda, make sure they have done their homework *CORRECTLY* and they have all of the things they need for school.  Please check your child's homework daily.

Tuesdays: Check out all the work your students bring home on Tuesdays in their red folder. Please sign any work that needs signatures and return to school promptly.

YOUR CHILD WILL HAVE VERY LITTLE HOMEWORK THIS YEAR. BUT WITH THE NEED TO  ALWAYS PRACTICE THE TIMES TABLES AND STUDY FOR SOCIAL STUDIES/SCIENCE TEST YOUR CHILD MUST TAKE AND MAKE THE TIME TO DO THE ADDITIONAL WORK. HOMEWORK REFLECTS ON THE FINAL GRADE IN EACH CURRICULUM AREA.

Your child's homework will for the most part be consistent from week to week.  Spelling will address High Frequency Words and Vocabulary words from all subject areas.

Math may be a worksheet that reinforces concepts already taught. Your child should drill multiplication and division facts every day. Also, your child should be reading  EVERY DAY!!!!!

Student Behavior—- If your child earned a letter, it must be initialed by the parent each day.  The bottom box in the Agenda must be signed to verify that your child has read for 30 minutes. The letters earned on the behavior report may keep them from attending PBIS activities. A list of the behavior letters will be kept in the front pocket of the Agenda for daily reference.

Please feel free to contact me via phone, email or letter. I  will enjoy working with each and every one of you for the success of your child.
