As part of our morning routine at Hanford Dole, we recite the pledge below. This year our class designed rules that are aligned with this pledge and our overall theme is to always think before you act and make smart choices. Students know these rules by heart and they know that in order to have a wonderful school day they must abide by them.
Respect- I will show respect for myself and others.
Responsibility- I will be responsible for my actions.
Right Thing- I will do the right thing.
Cooperate with your teacher and Classmates.
Respect the rights and property of others.
Carry out your student responsibilities.
Keep Track of books and assignments
Ask for Help when Needed
Do Your Own Work
Turn Your Work in on time
Accept Responsibility for your actions
Loss of classroom money
Loss of Privilege (Silent lunch)
Classroom money that can be used to purchase rewards on friday afternoons.
Thursday Folders- We will send these home on Thursdays and they are expected back on Friday. Please review your child's work for the week and feel free to keep it. There will also be important communication from our school included.
Visitors- We always welcome visitors at Hanford Dole Elementary. Please know that in order to maximize student learning we need to know in advance of any visit so that it does not cause a disruption to our students. Also, if you want to eat lunch with your child please visit the office for a visitor's tag and come on down. Parents will not come back to the classroom after lunch as we will be working very hard. Thank you.
Homework- Students will receive their homework on Monday and it will need to be turned in on Thursday. Your child will learn how important responsibility is by turning this in on Thursday.
Agenda- You will need to sign this each and every night. This is such an imporant tool in communication during the year. I will check this daily for your signature as well as if you have left me any notes. I look forward to your notes and also getting to send them home to you.
