Background: Following its debut in 1967, the Margaret C. Woodson Planetarium has been a venue of enrichment and intrigue for the Salisbury community. Our 30-foot dome ceiling, theater seating for 72, and original star projector continue to amaze audiences of all ages and backgrounds. A simulated night sky stretches out in every direction overhead as the planetarium provides an immersive learning environment for star-gazers and those inspired by the mysteries of our universe.
The Woodson Planetarium is excited to offer special programming each month. These events are open to the general public.
Any updates throughout the year will be made to this website. Doors open and ticket sales begin 30 minutes prior to each show. Programs typically last about one hour and are suitable for general audiences, unless otherwise noted. Playlists may be altered for suitability and length at the descretion of the planetarium director.
