New for 2012-13 School Year

Following federal guidelines, all families will be receiving a letter regarding free and reduced meals. Please be on the lookout for a letter from the Child Nutrition Department after July 30th. If you do not receive a mailing and feel like your family may qualify for free or reduced price meals, you may download an application from our website or they are available for pick up from any RSS school office.

Free & Reduced Meal Applications

The free and reduced priced meal program is available to help families with the cost of school meals, available through USDA.

Children need healthy meals to learn.  Rowan Salisbury Schools offer healthy meals (breakfast and lunch) every school day.  Your children may qualify for free or reduced price meals.  All students who qualify for Free or Reduced meals also qualify for "free" breakfast.  The reduced price for Lunch to students who qualify for reduced meals is $0.40.

To see if you are eligible for the Free & Reduced Meal Program you will need to complete an application and return it to your child's school cafeteria or mail it to Rowan Salisbury Schools, Attention:  Child Nutrition Department, PO Box 2349, Salisbury, NC 28145-2349.
