Students in Fourth and Fifth Grade are eligible to participate in the Elementary Battle of the Books (EBOB) competition. The purpose of EBOB is to encourage reading by all students in the elementary school level. Students are exposed to quality literature representing a variety of literary styles and viewpoints by prominent authors in children’s literature. Through the fun and excitement of the competition, students improve reading skills, mature in their choices of reading materials, and acquire a broader knowledge base of literature. Students will be tested on the knowledge of the books they have read and the author’s of the books starting in November.
The team will be comprised of at least six students and no more than ten. Please encourage students in the Fourth and Fifth Grade to participate in this competition.
