Instructional Technology

Our goal is to provide opportunities for all students to use a variety of technologies to access, analyze, interpret and communicate information.
Strategy 1: Rowan-Salisbury Schools will provide effective technology professional development for all staff.
Strategy 2: Teachers will integrate technology into the curricula and instruction to enhance teaching and learning.
Strategy 3: Administrators will be instructional leaders, model the use of technology and implement the IMPACT guidelines.
Strategy 4: Technology Facilitators will coach teachers so they see the value technology can provide to the teaching and learning process.

Research tells us that instructional technology, used appropriately, results in higher test scores. It is effective in sparking student interest, increasing motivation and raising self-esteem, thus positively impacting students achievement. The goal and strategies listed above will enable our district to improve the use of technology in schools, resulting in enhanced teaching and learning.
